Could the Ultimate Antichrist be making his initial moves now?

This question could be very inflammatory, but at some point Bible prophesy and human history intercept. Scripture teaches the spirit of Antichrist is already in the world… “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. ” (1 John 4:1-3)The Bible also teaches that since the beginning of the New Testament era, “many antichrists” have been influencing the human situation. “Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. They went out from us, but they were not of us: for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.” (1 John 2:18-19) Finally, God’s Word reveals the emergence of the Ultimate AntiChrist and his system that will eventually totally dominate the human situation before the return of Christ and His open rule on earth. “For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.” (2 Thessalonians 2:7-10)At some point, perhaps in the near future, these amazing words will become life realities in the human experience.
